Abstract

Abstract

Seminal vesicle cysts are uncommon and rarely symptomatic. They are generally seen at younger ages in parallel with increased sexual activity. A 62-year-old patient presented with prostatism symptoms. Transrectal ultrasonography and computed tomography showed a cystic mass with a thick and irregular wall in the right seminal vesicle. The cyst was aspirated via the transrectal approach and the histopathologic diagnosis was benign. The patient’s symptoms improved within a three-month follow-up. Seminal vesicle cyst should be considered in the differential diagnosis of prostatism symptoms in aged patients.
