Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Inability to remove the urethral foley catheter due to encrustation is a rare complication. Various methods from ESWL to open surgery are employed to remove the catheter under such conditions. We removed an encrusted, irremovable, urethral foley catheter from a 17 year-old male patient via urethroscopic lithotripsy. In this paper we evaluate and discuss the results of this different endoscopic method.
