Abstract

Abstract

In this study, we aimed to evaluate renal angiography and embolization for bleeding after percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

Renal angiography was performed to 3 patients after percutaneous nephrolithotomy because of long lasting renal bleeding.

Selective embolization was performed to bleeding lower pole segmental renal artery in one patient. In other patient, there was no bleeding site in renal angiography. The patient was observed conservatively and charged without any problem. The last patient had a pseudoaneurysm opening into pelvicalyxial system. Selective embolization was performed.

If bleeding after percutaneous nephrolithotomy, lasts for a long time and also requires lots of transfusion: Renal angiography and selective embolization must be performed.
